Jonathan's Valentines Party
On Friday February 13, 2009 Jonathan had his Valentines party at school. They played some games, got to look at their valentines from their classmates, and eat lots of sweets! Grace also got to take part in some of the activities... playing with the toys and eating all the food. Jonathan then got this whole next week off of school. Here are a few pictures from that day.

FINALLY Day 9 and 10
This day was kind of a long boring day. We got up and got ready because we had to check out of the condo by 10am. We didn't know what we really wanted to do so we went back to Downtown Disney but most everything was still closed. So we then went to an outlet mall and looked around a little bit until lunch time. We then went out to lunch at Ponderosa for my dad's birthday! He had such an exciting birthday! Ok... not really at all. After Ponderosa we still had a lot of time to kill so we went putt putt. While we were putt putting Grace would hit the ball then she would pick it up and take it to the hole and hit it in. It was VERY FUNNY!! Then after putt putt we decided to head to the airport. We didn't know how things would go with returning our car and so on. It was a simple as one two three.... so we were super early. Then we decided to check our bags... yeah that didn't take long either. So we were all done with everything and thru security by 3:30pm and our flight didn't leave until 7pm... We sat around for awhile. The kids did really good. They just played with their toys and watch a little of a movie. I notice the board time kept changing on when our flight was leaving so I told Trent to go and find out what was going on... sure enough our flight was not leaving on time and was going to be delayed. The plane flying from Detroit to Orlando was delayed because they were having issues so all those passengers had to got off that plane and on to another. Our plane arrived 45 minutes late but by time everyone was on, it didn't leave until around 8:30pm. We figured that we were going to miss our connecting flight from Detroit to Flint so we called my brother to see if he could pick us up in Detroit. We weren't sure if we would be able to get our luggage....everything was just up in the air. So my brother had to get car seats out of our car at my parent's house. We arrived in Detroit around 11 but by time we got our luggage and everything it was probably close to 12am before we left Detroit. We arrived in Flint around 1:30 or so. Grace fell asleep on the plane but Jonathan stayed awake the whole time! He was talking my mom's ear off... he was far away from us. He wouldn't go asleep until he got into the vehicle and it started moving. I figured with all that happened that he would definitely miss preschool but the next morning he woke up at 7:30 and would not go back to sleep!!!! So we decided to get dress and just go home and take him to preschool. We were about 15 minutes late. After preschool we went out to lunch and then we came home and the kids took a nap. Jonathan sleep like 2 1/2 hours and Grace sleep really close to 3 hours! Well, that is it. I tried to make corrections to things I spelled wrong and stuff but my brain works a lot faster then my hands. Here are a few pictures from that day!

Day 8 Magic Kingdom again and Downtown Disney
On Day 8 we went back to Magic Kingdom... and I still have to say this is the best park out of all of them! This time when we went back we took the ferry over to Magic Kingdom. That was a lot of fun but a little cold in the morning. This day was probably the best day weather wise. I think it reached the low 70's...almost felt too hot... strange??? We didn't spend a lot of time at the park this day. We left I think around 3pm or so. Trent and I rode another roller coaster with Jonathan, when we road the magic carpet ride Alladin and Jasmine also road on it with us. We then went back to the condo to swim, eat dinner and then went to Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney is like a shopping area. It had lots of shops, and had a lego store with some cool lego figures. Here are some pictures from that day.

Day 7 Animal Kingdom
On Day 7 we went to Animal Kingdom. I have to say though out of all the parks this is the worse. There were only a few fun things about it. The first thing was eating breakfast with the characters. The kids got to sit at the table and the characters came too them. They got to see Mickey, Daisy, Donald and Goofy. Jonathan got a Goofy hat from my parents and Goofy himself signed it! This is the park we spent the least amount of time at. We went back early to go swimming. It was still a little cold to go swimming but the pools were heated. The best ride was the safari ride. They had all kind of cool animals and yes they were real! The kids also got to see Jimmy Cricket, Pocahontes, the monkey from the Lion King and a talking trashcan. Here are a few pics from our time there.

Day 6 Magic Kingdom
On Day 6 we went to Magic Kingdom. I have to say this is probably the best park out of all of them. There is a lot more rides for the kids to go on and just a lot more stuff in it. We went to this park two different days. When we first got there we hopped on the train and took it back to Mickey's Toontown Fair. The kids got to see Mickey and Minnie's houses. The kids got to ride a little rollercoster and had a lot of fun. We then went and saw the princesses! Grace got to see Cinderella (she was the best), Belle, and Sleeping Beauty. If you ask Grace which princess was her favorite she says "the blue one, the yellow one and the pink one." Then Jonathan wanted to ride/drive the race cars so we did that. There are so many rides and stuff they went on it's hard to name them all. We spent most of our day in 3 sections of the park. The kids had a lot of fun! This is the park we stayed at the longest and even had to come back another day to finish it! This day also Grace fell asleep in my arms while we were waiting in line which was good for her since naps didn't happen very much. Here are a few pics from the first time we were there. Oh and as you can see YES we did have our winter coats on it was freezing there! They reached record lows while we were there... but I still have to say I would rather do that then be SO hot that you are miserable!!!

Day 5 Hollywood Studios
On Day 5 we went to Hollywood Studios. This park was pretty nice. It had a lot of shows. The first thing we saw was a show about how characters are made or how they are started. We then got to meet Bolt and his sidekick the hamster (don't remember his name) and then another Mickey Mouse. While walking around we got to see some Power Rangers.... Jonathan got pictures with them but I am not really sure why... we don't watch them and he doesn't even have any of them... he just know who they are but not by name. :) We also got to see one of the soliders from Toy Story, Lightening McQueen and Mater. We sorta got to see the parade but we were a little late so we only got to see them when they passed not when they stopped to sing and dance. On our way to the Tower of Terror which Jonathan went on with Trent we saw the Beauty and the Beast show. Finally they went on the Tower of Terror and Jonathan said it was a lot of fun but it made his stomach all twisted. Here is some pictures from our day!

Day 4 City Walk (Universal Studios)
On Day 4 we went to the City Walk at Universal Studios. We had a nice lunch at the Nascar cafe then went and watched Bed Time Stories at the theatre there. We took it easy on Tuesday because Grace didn't have a real good night of sleep and still wasn't feeling the best. You can't tell though by looking at the pictures. She feel asleep during the movie which is something very rare for her. I think later that night we went putt putt at the condo... the course was right behind our building. Here a few pictures from that day!!!
